Thomas Kibasi is partner at McKinsey & Company (UK), Associate Partner in the Health Systems Group of McKinsey & Company, Co-leader of McKinsey's research on innovative healthcare delivery, leader of McKinsey's relationships with the World Economic Forum, the Commonwealth Secretariat, and the Imperial Institute for Global Health Innovation.

Over the years, he has led the preparation of a number of landmark health systems reports and published numerous books and journals.

Furthermore, he is an an honorary lecturer at Imperial College, London where he helps to teach an MSc in Quality and Safety, and a MEd in Surgical Education.From 2006-2007, Tom worked for the Chief Executive of the NHS, Sir David Nicholson, becoming his Senior Policy Advisor.

From 2007-2008, he advised Professor Lord Darzi of Denham, who was tasked by the Prime Minister with leading a year-long review of the NHS to set its strategy for the decade ahead, and described by the Financial Times as “the world’s most ambitious attempt to raise the quality and effectiveness of an entire nation’s healthcare”.

He sits on the Advisory Board of the World Health Care Congress which takes place annually in Washington, D.C. Tom holds a first class degree from Trinity College, University of Cambridge, where he was awarded the Hooper Declamation Prize.
